Alpha Omicron Brother Remained Positive During Battle with Lupus

By: Andrew Talvich
The Daily Evergreen

Kyle Prescott spent his time at Washington State University under different circumstances than other students.

Shortly before enrolling, Kyle found out he had developed lupus, an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks the body’s organs. Despite this disease, Kyle made the most of his three-and-a-half year college experience – joining the Theta Chi fraternity, attending classes, spending time with family and friends and becoming involved in a serious relationship.

But the disease eventually caught up with the 22-year-old senior, who passed away on Nov. 10.

You can read the full story here.

Kyle’s memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Nov. 29, at First Lutheran Church of West Seattle. The family asks that donations go to the Lupus Foundation of America or another charity.

Epsilon Delta Alumni At Youngstown State Brave The Weather To Celebrate Homecoming

Submitted by: William A. Mays Jr., Epsilon Delta/Youngstown State University, ‘01

Dozens of Brothers came from all over the region to celebrate the 3rd Annual Epsilon Delta Alumni Tailgate party at YSU's Homecoming game this year. The weather was a bit chilly but that didn't stop them from having a great time. Brothers brought their families and loved ones to join in on the celebration as well. There was plenty of food, prizes, and social activities. The Brothers collected approximately 75 pounds of canned goods that will be donated to a local food bank in preparation for the holiday season. The Brothers paired with the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority this year and are already planning next year's event. More information can be found at www.myspace.com/ysuthetachialumni
