A New Beginning and a Great Homecoming at Epsilon Tau!

Theta Chi Leadership and Education Consultants Phillip Burns, Iota Lambda/Longwood and Corey Fischer, Iota Beta/Missouri State have done a great job in re-establishing Theta Chi at Stephen F. Austin University at Nacogdoches, Texas. Former LEC Gary Holverson, Epsilon Tau/Stephen F. Austin, '91 (shown in photo wearing letters) sent in the following homecoming report:

Phillip and Corey selected a great foundation; they are 19 strong and growing. Just 2 Months old, they are already larger than several of the other Fraternities on campus and competing in Intramural Sports as “The Regulators”. The Homecoming Tailgate Party was our big premiere event on campus.

Jimmy Thompson, the new Mayor of Sugar Land, TX, Member of SFASU Board of Regents and past Epsilon Tau Chapter President was there with some of his brothers from the early ‘70s.
The Chapter Alumni contributed hundreds of dollars to pay for the tailgate parking spot, food, t-shirts and rental of the 20x20 tent, table chairs and BBQ smoker.

The undergraduate members of the interest group provided the ping pong table, live band, overstuffed couch and enthusiasm.

The daughter of one alumnus member, who is currently a member of Chi Omega at Stephen F. Austin said, "the Theta Chi Tailgate was the biggest party there; the biggest tent, the most people, the best." Her dad added, "it looks like where on our way to being on top at SFA again."
